The Kingdom of Tonga
emphasizes the main objective of the World Summit : to work “together in
partnership and solidarity to develop a common vision and a better
understanding of information society. The adoption of a declaration and a
plan of action for implementation by governments, international institutions
and all sectors of civil society is very important. Tonga's prime objective
is to improve and to ensure domestic and global connectivity throughout the
kingdom. This has resulted in the recent liberalization of the market and
the introduction of competition.
