The
Republic of Slovenia underlines that ICTs are vital for the creation
of the conditions of a society based on knowledge where nobody is excluded
from the access to information. In 2001, the Slovene government set
information society as a priority task within the context of sustainable
development. It has put all its efforts to enable a participatory political
culture and to guarantee that all citizens have equal chances to take part
in the processes of decision-making. Slovenia supports the vision of an
inclusive and citizen-oriented information society.
