The Slovak
Republic starts by saying
that the technical progress is not equal in all parts of the world; and
that only a few people are in a position to define what is, in fact, the
information society. It should be a society that allows the access to
information without discrimination; it should be a society that respects
the rights of individuals and groups. It should be a society that
protects cultural diversity and permits the personal development and the
improvement of the quality of life.
The WSIS' Declaration of Principles is very important for the construction
of the information society.
