Palestine

that, despite the difficult conditions and the limited resources, it
could build some important steps in the way of the information society.
The telecommunications and information technology sectors were merged
together into the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information
Technology. The Palestinian Internet Naming Authority was established
and the laws adapted. That process was possible through the cooperation
between private and public sectors.
The Palestinian National Strategy for Information Technology
faces many obstacles related with the conflict with Israel. It hopes
that ICT will fortify the relations between people, safeguard the peace
and the security in the world and favor the cultural dialogue.
