The
Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia reminds the main objective of
the World Summit – to develop, on a global scale, not only the information
society, but also a good society. Macedonia believes that “the communication
is the glue that holds any community”. The information and communication
technologies can enforce a process to improve the quality of communication
between the governments and their citizens, between business, the government
and their clients; between citizens, with the government and the world. It
is important to listen to the whispers and cries of the citizens. Macedonia
organized a Committee to develop a strategy to create an information society
– “e-Macedonia for all”. It signed a strategic partnership agreement with an
important software company, showing its commitment in protecting
intellectual and property rights. Macedonia invites World-wide ICT leaders
to invest there in ICT projects, solutions and services.
