The
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea reminds that the majority of
the world population is not benefiting from the development of ICTs. The
Knowledge-based information society for all should benefit to all the people
and all should have an opportunity to participate actively. For the
development of an information society, it is essential to develop an
information industry, an international cooperation and solidarity. It is
also important to ensure that information and communication technologies
promote understanding and trust among nations. In this regard the
sovereignty, the diversity of language and culture should be respected and
protected.
