India emphasizes the fact that it
has contributed significantly to the growth of ICT services. It is committed
in training and equipping people for the Information Society. India wants to
share its substantial experience in e-governance, telemedicine, imparting
literacy, information security and language technologies.
India values freedom and it is
deeply committed to freedom of speech. It suggests six areas to focus our
efforts : abolishing illiteracy, upgrading existing educational
institutions, medical distant diagnosis and prescription for those who are
not well, enabling the disabled and codifying traditional knowledge.
