Hungary believes that creating
and sharing knowledge is a driving force in shaping future. It proposes the
involvement of all stakeholders – public, private and civil society - on the
development of information society. The governments have the responsibility
to encourage the investment. Because technological changes require a long
time, it is very important to guarantee learning and training, especially in
remote areas and for vulnerable groups.
Hungary has started a number of programs and the government adopted the
Hungarian Strategy on Information Society. The regional, national and global
strategies and actions must be complementary to each other, in order to
diminish the technological gap.
