Georgia points a few questions
that deserve special attention in the context of the information society :
the necessity to increase capacity building and technical assistance
programs and the necessity to establish a proper environment to transfer the
technology. Also vital is the cooperation among relevant international
organizations.
Georgia sees that national efforts should be taken to build a
people-centered information society. It recognizes the importance of ICTs in
national development and in poverty eradication strategies. Georgia is a
country with the capacity to absorb the most modern innovations and to fully
participate in the formation of an information-based society. The digital
modernization is the highest priority for the country.
