The
Republic of Estonia points out that is important for governments to
keep the information society's development constantly present in the
political agenda. The Republic of Estonia wants to show that, in a short
period of time and with limited resources, it could reach the forefront of
advanced ICT usage, creating an enabling environment, opening markets,
including all stakeholders and prioritizing ICT in education. In addition,
Estonia says that the use of ICT has made it possible, for the public sector
to work of more efficient.
Most
of the information in public and private sector in Estonia are exchanged
utilizing public Internet possibilities; ICT solutions increased the
democracy, allowing the citizens a bigger participation in the
decision-making processes. Now Estonia is involved in a training project
that combines the knowledge and the experience of the Estonian public
sector, the know-how of the EU experts and the experiences of the target
countries who participate in the training.
