The Union of the Comoros starts its statements saying that the
world is in need of a society where exclusion does not have place. It
believes that ICTs are a mean to speed up the development but, however,
reminds us that it can also be an instrument to generate oppression and
to aggravate inequalities. It strongly supports the necessity to
reinforce the cooperation between countries to avoid cyber crime and
other offenses.
The Comoros government has developed programs to democratize the access to
information and communication technologies among its citizens. It
appeals to international solidarity as an essential tool to
develop the information society.
