Armenia underlines that the
Summit is really important to establish common rules to develop its economy.
It has prioritized ICTs as one field of cooperation with the European Union.
The E-Caucasus initiative is an example. Beside this, Armenia implemented
e-Visa program and continues with e-Consular services. It has also initiated
Diaspora networks, useful specially for a nation with many migrants workers.
Armenia believes that technologies help to change some old assumptions based
on soviet thinking, by forcing service users and providers, in public and
private sectors, to simplify procedures. Armenia declares that its ambitious
plan is to assure connectivity for all its schools in three years.
Armenia still
affirms that the responsibility to insure connectivity and computerization
for all is not only from governments, but also from NGOs, academia, media
and donor organizations. The common effort will help to diminish the actual
gap.
